Elnora Pearl Hammon Davis, 96, of Shelley passed away July 5, 2007 at her home under Hospice care.

She was born December 28, 1910 in Pocatello, Idaho to Delbert Chase Hammon and Pearl Allgood Hammon Shelton. Her father died when she was 18 months old. Her new father, James took the family to finish proving up on the homestead above Bone.

She attended schools at Rock Creek, New Sweden & Idaho Falls, graduating from Idaho Falls High School. She worked her way up in the Calif. Packing Co. to be a bookkeeper.

She married Ivan Reese Davis November 4, 1935 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They lived in Milo, Menan, Ucon, Taylorsville and Shelley. She pioneered in many farm homes without running water; electricity etc. always making them beautiful with gardens, flowers and love. She has lived in her dream home in Shelley since leaving the farm 20 years ago.

She was an active member of the LDS Church where she had served Relief Society Pres, Primary Pres., Sunday school teacher and was a faithful visiting teacher.

She loved baking, hosting, sewing quilts, crocheting, gardening, camping, fishing and being with her family.

She is survived by her children Deniece (Francis) Beck of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Lynne (Val) Christensen of Tucson, Arizona, Joyce (Jay) Mahlin of Idaho Falls; Bruce (Starr) Davis of Mesa, Arizona and Monte (Debbie) Davis of Idaho Falls; Brother-in-law Max Sargent of Idaho Falls. 30 Grandchildren; 92 Great Grandchildren and 18 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son-in-law.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday July 9th at the Third & Fifth Ward Chapel (513 South Park Ave). The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00 till 8:30 P.M. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Monday morning 9:30 till 10:45 at the church. Burial will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
